Patricia G Leavy PhD

Patricia G. Leavy, PhD, is a licensed psychologist currently practicing in Fernandina Beach, Florida. Providing psychological services to people of all ages throughout Northern Florida and Southern Georgia, Dr. Patricia Leavy draws on 25 years experience, 15 of which were while in private practice. Some of the issues Dr. Leavy assists children and adolescents deal with include anger management, anxiety and depression, and difficulties adjusting to parents' divorce. She also provides ADHD evaluations, psycho-educational evaluations, and behavior modification treatments. For adults, Dr. Patricia Leavy aids with family therapy and parenting issues, marriage and divorce issues, elder care issues, chronic illness and grief, military deployment, and other stressful life changes. In addition, she has served on several school advisory councils, monitoring programs and developing ways to meet educational demands effectively. Furthermore, in two and a half decades, Dr. Leavy has conducted several field research investigations, presentations, and written two professional articles on the topics of the development of sex roles in children, and therapist autonomy as countertransference.
