Today a speaker, with a passion to help create awareness & prevention strategies in every small community resource. She has given presentations to help build support & educational programs; as well as produced and hosted about 180 Talk Radio Broadcasts through Butterfly Dreams Talk Radio. She created Butterfly Dreams Abuse Recovery website to share learned and lived knowledge about the acts of Child Abuse, Child Sex Trafficking, Relationship & Family Violence, and uses the presentation; ‘A View from the Inside’ to handle a report of child maltreatment, what uncommon signs to look for, behavioral challenges, and health problems which can be our leading clue of something dangerous in a person’s life. Also, survivors of any type of trauma are invited to use the ‘Six Daily Coping Tools’, which she still uses herself and helps others develop to help focus on short & long term goals, healthcare & emotional wellbeing support, awareness of behavioral acts connected to ‘Triggers & Memories’, understanding learned behaviors and retraining our parenting & living habits to prevent re-victimization.
You will find her true memoir, ‘My Justice’, and resources to other orgs & survivors. Empower our youth to get involved, report & avoid crime, even when it happens inside our family. She lived a life of tolerating sexual and violent attacks for almost 40yrs of her life. She lived through addiction, attempted suicide, a young single mother of three, and later earned training to finally break the daily living cycle of sadness, fear, harm, and trauma in her children’s lives. She has attended trainings in Domestic Violence; Sexual Assault; Elder Abuse; Human Trafficking, and Community Response Resource as well as researching with special focus in Complex Post Traumatic Stress and the frontal lobe brain impairments results as young children live in a violent, threatening, traumatic environment.
