Patricia Ordonez

New York, New York

She is best known as PattyO is a fashion designer who has been involved in the fashion industry for over 20 years. Her passion for fashion began growing up as a young girl who was born without the ability to hear. PattyO developed fashion ideas from what she saw, creating a new world in her mind, devoid of outside influence. She was inspired by shape, color, bodyform, clothes and fell in love with fabrics and textiles and how they made her feel, she began"dancing with her eyes." In 2008, She took her designs to a new level, developing an fashion business called www.PattyOdesigns.com, a green design company focused on up-cycling, where old clothing can be transformed into something new. In a moment of inspiration, an old pair of jeans became a tote, and the signature " Made from my Ex's Jeans" {totes | handbags) was stamped on the outside and soon picked up in the media and featured on the Morning Show in NYC. Aside from designing clothing, PattyO works full time as an Instructional Assistant at Lexington School for the Deaf. PattyO holds a MFA from Savannah College of Art and Designs, Georgia.
