Patricia Puentes

Oakland, California, United States

I left Barcelona and moved to Los Angeles in 2006 and since then I have worked as a freelance writer. First as the correspondent for the movie Web site KANE 3 (www.kane3.es) and later Acción magazine. I also write about TV for Cinemanía magazine and do interviews with celebrities. I cover film festivals, press screenings, junkets and review movies.

After five years in Los Angeles I spent almost two years in Boston and then came back to California and now live in Oakland. During this time I have written for Traveler.es, On Madrid (El País), TVManía (La Vanguardia) and Mía.

As an author I have cowritten the children's book Fantástica Zoe and I have ventured into the autopublishing world with La intérprete de lo anacrónico.

I worked as managing editor in Excelsior newspaper, published by the Orange County Register and I taught copy editing for Spanish-language news media at UCLA Extension.

Before moving from Spain I worked as PR, writer, Web editor and freelance journalist for almost five years. I was the Barcelona correspondant of KANE 3 and interviewed media professionals.
