Patricia Rust

Patricia Rust Many recognize Patricia Rust for her work in front of the camera as a model, reporter, and talk show host, but behind-the-scenes writing distinguishes her most. As president of her own production company, Patricia created productions for network and syndication and public television, wrote for ABC Evening News (after serving as a correspondent), and successfully moved to the fantasy side of the media and entertainment by selling her first screenplay to Warner Bros. Patricia went on to write for situation comedies and specials, dramas, and was signed to a development deal for ABC Family. Patricia created an animation bible for ABC based on her own family life experiences in Hawaii. She continued to write for Disney, Fox, NBC, CBS, and other studio features and scored victories at film festival competition. She went on to write for Emmy winning shows. Today, she has one family film in pre-production and another that is being developed from a best-selling children’s book she wrote called “The King of Skittledeedoo.” She actively writes for the Los Angeles Times Kids Reading Room and has a not-for-profit children’s literacy foundation called Power for Kids.
