Patricio Valladares (b. 1982) is a Chilean exploitation filmmaker best known for En las afueras de la ciudad (2012), a.k.a Hidden in the Woods an ultraviolent, low-budget rape-and-revenge splatter flick very loosely "inspired" by a real-life case of incestuous which took place in rural southern Chile between 2005 and 2011. The film, which was distributed by Epic Pictures Group of Beverly Hills, stirred up controversy at several genre festivals, including Montreal's Fantasia, London's Film4 FrightFest and Belgium's Razor Reel, catching the attention of American actor Michael Biehn and his Blanc Biehn production company.

Prior to this, Valladares had directed Curriculum (2006), Dirty Love (2009) and Toro Loco (2012), a no-budget grindhouse-style video trilogy which received limited distribution in Spain and Chile. In 2014, he established BYV Media with Evelyn Belmar. He has also worked as an illustrator and his comic "El Italiano #1 and #2" was published in Italy as a special edition with the support of Nicola Pesce Editore.
