Patrick Prefontaine

Patrick has achieved considerable entrepreneurial success through building start-ups, and has specific expertise in sales and marketing strategy, customer acquisition, online marketing, software technologies and international business.

Patrick started his career as a business development consultant, serving European clients, for one of the largest consulting firms in Canada, where he became Director Business Development USA/Mexico.

Patrick’s 1st entrepreneurial venture was ACME Multimedia Inc, a web design and software development (Digital Signage) firm he successfully built to 55 employees and sold in 2001. Patrick then served as Executive Vice-President of sales for ZAQ Interactive Solutions where he launched and successfully built the 3rd party ad serving business in the key strategic markets of Montreal, London, and New York.

Patrick then founded BB2 Partners Inc. With offices in Toronto and Montréal, BB2 was an operationally focused “venture management” firm using the expertise and business network of its experienced partners to quickly increase the value and performance of client companies. A partial list of clients includes: Vividas, Monster.ca, Mamma.com, the E-Commerce Institute, Mediacity.

More recently Patrick was Vice-President Business Development for Stingray 360, the leading national provider of sensorial marketing solutions for commercial environments; President at Sorinco, a company specialized in environmental services for the Pharmaceutical and Cosmetics industry and President at DTI Solutions, the world’s leading provider of IFE (In-Flight Entertainment) interactive software application solutions that allow airlines to offer a variety of informative and entertaining services to their passengers from the comfort of their seats, as well as airline content management services.

Patrick holds a B.Comm, specialized in International Business from the John Molson School of Business (Concordia University). Patrick is very active in the local business community and sits with a number of boards and industry associations.
