I am a sixth-year Ph.D. candidate in History at Brown University. My research interests include U.S.-South Korean relations, the relationship between foreign policy and the domestic U.S. economy, the impact of East Asian industrialization on U.S. social relations, and the organization of global capitalism during the Cold War. My dissertation examines the impact of U.S. foreign policy in South Korea on South Korean industrialization and U.S. economic re-organization (i.e. deindustrialization, the emergence of U.S. multinational corporations, and the decline of New Deal economic policies) during the Cold War.
