Son of an RAF man I was travelling from childhood, and travelling I continue to do.

I trained as a fine artist. I paint, draw and take photographs. My work is in UK national collections and I have shown in many UK galleries including the Bluecoat, Barbican, Royal Festival Hall etc.., and I have had a life in design.

In practice partnership for 25 years I won 2 European Hotel Design Awards, Hotel of the Year for the Celtic Manor, Spa Destination award for Spa Design. Created HotelDesigns.net in 1999, and continue to write edit and photograph as well as addressing industry conferences in the UK, Switzerland, Poland and Spain.

I am a consultant to hotel groups, design practices and manufacturers and have written for magazines in the USA and UK, including being Foreign Editor of the US 'Boutique Design' magazine for 14 months. Featured in numerous news sites including the Independent, Guardian, Times, USA Today idFX, Contract Furnisher and many more.
