Patrick Keese

Boston, MA

Patrick Keese is a classically trained violinist, contemporary guitarist, and vocalist. He started playing violin at age four, studying traditional Irish fiddle alongside his classical education under the instruction of Juilliard graduate Mary Hardy Roberts. He has played with the Virginia Commonwealth University Honors Orchestra, the Castleton Orchestra under the direction of Loren Maazel, the Virginia All-State Orchestra, and the Virginia Youth Symphony among others.

Patrick is greatly inspired by classical composers Delius, Beethoven, and Brahms, and is influenced by contemporary artists such as Elliott Smith, Thom Yorke of Radiohead, James Mercer of The Shins, and Justin Vernon of Bon Iver. He has a fascination with high-quality audio technology and has spent much of his time studying the construction and integration of stereo audio components.

He is currently a first-semester undergraduate student at the Berklee College of Music, and is intending to study Music Production and Engineering while maintaining a focus on performance.
