Greenwich

Patrick Baugier, Greenwich based CEO, takes his social responsibilities as seriously as his professional duties. He is associated with several charities and clubs that are committed to giving back to the community.

Among his other commitments, his association with the Franco American School of New York (FASNY) is perhaps, one of the most important. As one of the most renowned multicultural schools in New York, FASNY strives to broaden the minds of its students and foster a spirit of academic excellence. Always keen to help create a brighter future, Patrick Baugier has been a board member of this reputed institution.

Patrick Baugier's professional passion spills into his social life as well, and he is a part of several prominent wine clubs of the world. He is a member of the Brotherhood of Knight Tastevin. Originally founded in early 1700s, this Order was revived in 1934 and is dedicated to promoting the culture- specially the wine and cuisine- of the Burgundy region. It remains one of the most distinguished clubs for Burgundy wine enthusiasts today. Patrick Baugier is also the member of the highly exclusive Bordeaux Union Club- the oldest institution for Bordeaux wine connoisseurs in France. The Commandery du Bontemps de Médoc is another illustrious club that counts Patrick Baugier among its Commanders. The club brings together hundreds of wine producers, dealers, distributors and brokers, and works towards promoting the wines from the Médoc, Graves, Barsac and Sauternes regions.

His interests, however, are not restricted to just wine production- Patrick Baugier has a literary inclination as well. As a published author of several books, including a book of poetry, he has gained admission into the Société des gens de lettres (Society of Men of Letters) of France. This is a writers' association founded by none other than the renowned French author, Honoré de Balzac. Along with his peers Victor Hugo, George Sand and Alexandre Dumas, Balzac set up this organization in 1838 to protect the rights and interests of the writer community. Even today, the society thrives with regular cultural events, readings and prizes that celebrate talented authors.

Patrick Baugier's humanitarian beliefs and his keen sense of morality and discipline find good company in the Order of Malta. Founded in the Middle Ages, the knights of this Order work for the good of the community.
