I am an Urban Designer specializing in user experience, and visual design. I've worked in city government, non-profit, and the arts utilizing human-centered design and agile methodologies to solve civic problems.
I currently serve as a Product Manager with the City of Austin Transportation Department on the Data and Technology Team.
I previously served as a Program Coordinator in the Housing Department at the City of Dallas working to help residents with home repair and preservation, 2020-2021.
Before that, I served as the founding Design Strategist on the Innovation Team for the Municipality of Anchorage working to improve food insecurity and the social safety net, 2017-2019.
Prior to that, I served with the Austin Innovation Office focusing on permitting for homeowners in 2017, was a 2016 Code for America Fellow helping small business owners with permitting and licensing in Long Beach, and in 2015 led an ArtPlace America public spaces project in Greensboro, NC.
I am originally from Carrollton, TX, and have lived in 8 states throughout my life. I proudly served in the U.S. Army and National Guard playing saxophone for 8 years. I hold a Bachelor’s of Arts in English from the University of Texas, and a dual Master’s in Urban Planning and Higher Education from the University of Michigan.
I love telling stories, I believe that public spaces have power, and that government is sexy!
