Patrick McLinden is a Human Resource Executive residing in San Carlos, California. He has a love for all things new and exciting, and passion for HR lies in both his desire to shake things up as well as kickstart people and businesses in the right direction.
Patrick is currently the Senior Director of Strategic HR Business Initiatives at VmWare. Patrick was also the Manager for Deloitte Consulting, a Big 5 consultancy agency known worldwide for its expertise. While there, he led teams in the creation and implementation of complex talent management. He also helped develop Deloitte's talent through selection, recruitment, and mentoring. Patrick also served as the Sr. Director of Learning and Development at FitBit, where he helped kickstart the company in the right direction through strategic HR initiatives.
Patrick McLinden has a Master's of Science in Psychology from Northern Illinois University, and an M.S. in Personnel and Human Resource Development from Illinois Institute of Technology. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
For Patrick, Human Resources wasn't a second choice career. He has always loved understanding how people think and how to help people achieve their best. With these two things in mind, Patrick set out to discover how he could impact individuals and businesses to work in a more efficient, effective, and edifying manner.
