Patrick Gallagher

Patrick is doctoral candidate in the Department of Anthropology at Stanford University. His theoretical areas of interest are in the anthropology of the environment and political ecology. His broad-ranging research agenda is concerned with the diverse social practices by which nature comes to valued, and the politics of value in the project of environmental conservation. He conducts fieldwork in coastal Belize in Central America and with researchers in the United States and Europe.
