Patrik Edsparr

Patrik possesses over thirty years of experience in finance and investment management. He currently serves as the Chief Investment Officer of Tor Investment Management, overseeing portfolio construction, risk management, and leadership within the Investment Committee. Before joining TOR, Edsparr had a significant career at JP Morgan Chase & Co., where he played a key role in establishing and overseeing the Proprietary Positioning and Principal Investing Division, managing investments across North America, Europe, and Asia. He held roles such as Co-head of North American Markets and later Global Co-head of Fixed Income.

In 2008, Edsparr transitioned to the Citadel Investment Group, where he held roles such as Global Head of Fixed Income and CEO of Citadel Europe. He also contributed his expertise to the Bank of England as a Visiting Fellow, providing insights on matters like market structure and capital. These experiences highlight Patrik Edsparr's lasting impact in the finance and investment management field.” In 2012, he co-founded Tor Investment Management, an alternative credit management firm based in Hong Kong.

Edsparr's academic background includes a PhD in Financial Economics from MIT, an MSc in Applied Mathematics from the Royal Institute of Technology, an MBA from the Stockholm School of Economics, and a BA from Uppsala University. He also served as a lieutenant in the Swedish Army. Edsparr's expertise extended beyond finance, as seen in his appointments as a Non-Executive Director of MTS S.p.A. and Nomura International, where he chaired the Board Risk Committee.
