I am a soon-to-be student at The Game Assembly in Malmö, Sweden. I will be studying Level Design, which starts this September
I have been interested and fascinated in level design and game development since an early age and have since I got my first own personal computer tried to create my own games and content for existing games.
I started out creating skins for The Sims when I got a family members old DLC and a copy of the game, and then proceeded to work on various modding softwares through my younger years.
I then proceeded to work in Hammer Editor, working on maps for Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress 2. I also dabbled in working on maps for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive however I did not go to the same depth for that game.
During my time at Ljud och Bildskolan studying Game Design at a Upper Secondary School (Gymnasiala kurser) I learnt how to create both 2D and 3D content and learnt the basics and fundamentals of both digital and traditional arts.
I spent around 500 hours the last year of that education working on my "exam project" which was a cyberpunk level in Unity5 (see image), where I would do all the work from concept work to modeling to polish myself. My blog features the development diary of that project. The level contains no game elements and the only purpose was to link together everything I had learnt the last three years into one thing. I received the highest grade available for that project.
During two years I also spent a lot of time on a YouTube Channel where I did casual Let's Plays and feature videos. I learnt how to efficiently create video content and curate a community during that time, with over 200 videos produced for an audience of close to 3000 viewers.
