Patrycja Leśnik is a Polish oboist with two Master degrees in Music from the Academy of Music in Łódź, where she studied under the guidance of Jerzy Kotyczka (modern oboe) and Rafael Gabriel Przybyła (historical oboes). Recently, she completed her third Master degree in London studying of historical oboes at the Royal Academy of Music with Katharina Spreckelsen.
Since beginning her studies in London she has performed for the RAM/Kohn Foundation Bach Cantata Series directed by Margaret Faultless and Rachel Podger. She has also had the opportunity to work under the direction of Masa'aki Suzuki, Laurence Cummings, Steven Devine, Jane Glover, Iain Ledingham, Paul Esswood, José Maria Florencio, Łukasz Borowicz and others.
Patrycja has collaborated with early music ensembles in England and Poland including Musica Donum Dei, Meridian Sinfonia, FAMD.pl, Wrocław Baroque Orchestra (NFM) and with the Royal Academy of Music Baroque Ensembles. Currently, she is a participant of The Ann and Peter Law OAE Experience for Young Players 2016.
Patrycja is a prize-winner of the Nancy Nuttall Early Music Prize (2015). She has been awarded scholarships by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education (2013), the Marshal of the Voivode (2013) and the Cordelia Moses Scholarship (2014).
