Pat Steffen
I grew up in a small town in Nebraska and received my Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Nebraska School of Dentistry. I then served four years as a dentist in the Air Force. After leaving the military,I moved to Oklahoma City and established my first dental practice.
After working in private practice for a few years, I hired an associate and discovered that a group practice is a better way of providing dental services. In a group practice, there's always another dentist to consult on a difficult case. More established dentists naturally mentor younger dentists. We have an Administrative Department that takes care of all the business functions and allows our dentists to concentrate on their patients and provide the highest level of care available.
In my clinical practice at MyDentist, I provide general, cosmetic and implant dentistry, as well as braces and treatment for TMJ problems. I have a special interest in helping people with missing teeth. I have provided dentures and dental implants for many patients who have not been able to receive satisfactory treatment elsewhere. Continuing education sets MyDentist apart. I present many courses for our dentists and also bring in the best educators from around the country. I also supervise training at the MyDentist offices in Oklahoma, Kansas City and Texas.
Dentistry is a rapidly changing field with new discoveries being made every day. To keep up with new advances in dentistry, I have invested hundreds of hours of continuing education. A good dentist can never stop learning. I have over 500 hours of post-graduate training in implant dentistry alone. I have received many honors over the years, including being selected a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. I am a graduate of the prestigious Misch Implant Institute, the Advanced Oral Surgery Program at Willford Hall Medical Center, and the Hayden Advanced Head, Neck, Facial Pain & TMJ Orthopedics. I have also completed courses at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, the Piper Education and Research Center, and the Dawson Academy. I have also published in the Journal of Implant Dentistry.
In my free time, I enjoy fishing and spending time with my wonderful wife,
Sandy. Dentistry has improved over the years and is now much easier for the patient.
