After graduating from Spackenkill High School in Poughkeepsie, New York, Patsy Victorious Delvecchio III enlisted in the US Army as an infantryman. Patsy Victorious Delvecchio III completed Basic Combat Training and One Station Unit Basic Training over the course of four months and went on to serve roughly three years at Fort Stewart, a large Army base near the coastal town of Hinesville, Georgia.

Over the course of his military career, he also completed training with the US Marines and various Canadian and New Zealand service members on different drills and missions. In recognition of his training, his commanding officers issued him an Army Service Ribbon.

Mr. Delvecchio’s accomplishments with the Army include guarding ammunition supply points and demobilizing ICV Stryker armored fighting vehicles with Javelin missiles. He also conducted regular vehicle inspections and maintenance as part of a larger effort to ensure that equipment was present, functional, and generally ready for combat operations.
