I've worked with networks all my life. I help companies understand their organizational roles and social networks, how to select, introduce, and manage social software and collaboration tools to enhance people-to-people connections and knowledge flow and to capture and curate information and knowledge assets.

I am an experienced practitioner who held leadership positions in large computer and telecommunications companies. I currently assist clients from a range of industries in understanding the context of information and knowledge flow in organizations and in developing strategies to leverage existing infrastructure and social networks.

Net Work: A Practical Guide to Creating and Sustaining Networks at Work and in the World, was published by Elsevier/Butterworth-Heinemann in April, 2007.

Specialties: Knowledge management; social & learning networks, and collaboration -- infrastructure assessment, design and tool introduction, social network analysis, communities of practice, contextual interviewing, work practice modeling, organization development.
