Patti Galle

Known for her involvement in the community of West Linn, Oregon, Patti Galle has advocated for animals and other causes in her community for years. Patti Galle supports a number of animal welfare organizations like the Oregon Dachshund Rescue, Inc., Woofstock, and Project POOCH, Inc. Additionally, in 2009 Patti Galle authored a book called For the Love of Dogs, which includes recipes for canine treats.

Patti Galle was named the 2007 Citizen of the Year by the local newspaper West Linn Tidings. Her experience as the Interim Director of the West Linn Chamber of Commerce helped Patti Galle’s election as Mayor of West Linn in 2009. After the Director of the Chamber of Commerce resigned to take another position, Patti Galle accepted the interim position in 2008.

After moving to West Linn from a town with a high crime rate, Patti Galle found it important to support her local police department. As a community activist, Patti Galle has worked with West Linn’s Keep Our Cops to raise support for a West Linn police levy in 2007 and 2008. She aided the committee by organizing rallies, canvassing door-to-door, and conducting fundraising activities. Patti Galle also supports the Police Advisory Committee, and she spearheaded a historical documentation and archiving project at the local police department. Patti Galle has consistently advocated for her community since moving to West Linn, and her work has enhanced the lives of many.
