So where did the idea of Tartan Treasures come from? Glad ye asked! LOL
With the rising costs of healthcare and an economy that is looking pretty dismal, people are turning to more natural ways of staying healthy and curing whatever might be ailing them.
I have been researching healthy living through natural methods. Herbal healing, homeopathic remedies, essential oils, eating healthier… you name it and I’m researching. I have started raising my own herbs and have been making healthier meals for my family.
I am very excited that we will be offering a whole new line of homeopathic remedies, such as salves, lotions, balms and more. I am taking a course now to become a certified aromatherapist too and I can’t wait to use my newly learned knowledge to expand our offerings even more!
We offer a fantastic line of essential and fragrance oil-infused Lotions, Shower Gels, Liquid Soap, Herbal Therapy Packs and Shea Butter Body Bars. We have a great line of essential oil blends that alleviate a variety of issues too! We also offer Pampering Packs, which include two or more of these goodies. Be sure to check out this line in our shop!
Why Celtic and nature-inspired jewelry?
I have always loved to make jewelry but a few years ago lost the passion for the medium I was working with. I needed to be inspired. I have always been fascinated by the history of the Celtic people as well – just something always drew me to stories of the Irish and the Scots.
I remember my grandmother telling me when I was a wee lass (yes, I said it) that we were descendants of the great Clan Campbell of Scotland. Well, that just stirred my imagination! I have since started reading and researching the history and way of life of Scotland through the years, all the way back to the Celts.
My designs for the jewelry come from trying to keep the “vibe” of the Olde Worlde. I only work with real gems and minerals, as they did back then. I then add charms that hearken back to the old beliefs: the Tree of Life, the Celtic knots (which just SPEAK to me), the Trinity Knots and Triquetras, and even the Pentacle, which so many people believe is used in witchcraft only but actually has a meaning in many different religions and civilizations, including Christianity.
