In love with guitar. Unrequited kind of love, unfortunately. Tried some piano. 'The Wind Of Change'. Soundtrack of my life. Stability freaks me out quite frankly.
Love the 'Other Lives'. Melancholic music. Love the movie soundtracks. Especially the sad ones. All actors enjoy that state. It's our masochistic side. Because who in the right mind wants to go to job interviews twice a week for the rest of their life? Who wants to imagine the worst life scenarios to shed some tears for a take? I do.
Comedy is good too. You can cry or you can laugh about your life. But there is nothing worse than indifference. Boredom. Routine.
It's confusing, actor life, it really is.
You have to grow thick skin, you have to be vulnerable, in touch with your emotions too.
You have to be yourself. You have to be someone else.
Forget ego, shame, pride. Keep the essence. Keep the charm.
Gotta love it. Insanely. Unconditionally.
Not sure if the above scribbles classify as biography, so here we go:
Born in Poland, early childhood in Moscow. Student dorm rooms. To be exact. Few years in Poland spent on stage of a local theatre. Loved those times. Running around backstage, chased by a lady with a hammer - kids tend to forget they wear them fancy ballroom dresses for a reason. Acting was easier then. Didn't think about it. Just played. Rather convincingly at that. Then it got tough. Continuity. ‘As if's’, senses, objects. Hit your marks. Make it bigger. Make it smaller. Be natural. Wait not THAT natural - it's film after all not a documentary.
Adolescence came, moved the country – Next chapter - Slovakia. Where is that? No one knows. To me it's one of my homes. Trying to be serious now. Trying to be a grown up. No more silly make believe. Grown ups go to University. What do ‘undecided’ grown ups do? They major in 'Business'. In London preferably. Because States too expensive.
Been an adult for a while. Found it not for me. Back to playing. Classes. More classes. Meisner, Adler, Strassberg and other children of Stanislavski. Oh? There is a business side to this? University came in handy I suppose. Moved to Spain. Because Palm trees.
Siesta, fiesta, classes, castings, art. Rich. Economically? NO. Spiritually? I’d say so.
Grass must be greener on the other side.
Back in London. Actually everywhere. Home is everywhere and it’s nowhere. I am free. Sort of.
