Patrícia Ribeiro
Torres Vedras - Portugal
Born in August 1973 in Torres Vedras - Portugal, she has a 5 yr degree in Environmental Engineering from Faculty of Sciences and Technology - Nova University of Lisbon (FCT/UNL).
She has started her professional career in 1996 at the environmental division of Torres Vedras Municipality, developing several tasks in environmental management and sustainable development areas.
Started a master course in 2001/2002 in Spatial and Environmental Planning (FCT/UNL) and in 2009/2010 applied for a PhD Course on Climate Change and Sustainable Development Policies.
Presently she is developing her PhD thesis, studying impacts, vulnerability and adaptation to climate change in urban coastal areas. Her case study is the downtown area of Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, that is quite vulnerable to the following phenomena: sea level rise and flash floods.
Her main hobbies are fitness activities and fashion, that´s why she recently attended an Intensive Course of Management at INDEG/ISCTE-UL.
