Barcelona 1958. Influenced by Ramón Margalef in 1976, I studied Biology and graduated in 1982. Practiced Oceanography in research cruises in the North Atlantic and Mediterranean till 1981. Expert in Olive Oil by Instituto de la Grasa Sevilla 1982. Married to Diana Ribera in 1988. In 1989 was designated to lead the Spanish wine industry. Active in the definition of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and the EU trade policy. Active in the OIV. I believe that advocacy of legitimate interest is a need of democracy provided it is done with transparency, loyalty to politicians and t public administration.
