Paul Blouin
Born and raised in Connecticut, I worked on dairy farms in high school and into my twenties, joined the U.S. Navy, went to the University of Connecticut, and received my bachelor’s degree at St. John’s College in Santa Fe, NM.
For the last decade or so I’ve made my home in the Pacific Northwest, far from my immediate family, a brother and two sisters, as well as both of my parents who still live in Connecticut. Thankfully, I have a wonderful wife (with family of her own nearby) and two boys so I still enjoy the happiness of family life.
I’ve worked in Information Technology since 1993. I'm something of an OS enthusiast and have no specific loyalty to any single platform except perhaps VMware since it provides my sandboxes (though in a pinch, or if I'm just looking for something to do, I may use Xen or even Microsoft virtualization solutions).
I picked up my first SLR in 1986 (a Pentax Super Program), shot a lot of slide and B&W film before moving almost completely to digital in 2004.
Life is good.
