Paul is not your typical guy. Unnoticeable in a crowd, this geek could sneak in and give you a stab behind your back, leaving you in excruciating—fatal, even—pain. And he wouldn’t feel a slightest tinge of remorse afterwards.

Although growing up in a family of God-fearing and music-loving individuals, Paul had a rather unconventional childhood. With little to no friends, he turned his attention to reading almanacs, studying world history, and playing scrabble one-on-one with his alter ego. School was worse; he wasn’t popular, mainly because his aura came off as that of a cocky young kid who yearned to gain a merry band of brothers who would serve as his minions.

Paul mellowed later on, but in a kneejerk way, to the point of assuming the character of a social outcast—that of a wallflower. He eschewed his overconfident aura in favor of a Tolkienesque quest to win people over. Notwithstanding this, he developed a serious love of writing, composing poems with topics ranging from puppy love and mortality, to criticisms and politics. In his efforts to broaden this facet, Paul began writing short stories, which culminated in a novella about childhood whims and unrequited love (Un Verano en Puerto Rico).

Whereas writing was his first love, music became Paul’s mistress. And along the way, he learned to play a few musical instruments that served as his own way of expressing his frustrations and angst; and which also complemented his ineptitude to understand the opposite sex.

Paul's experiences scarred him in a deep way that he deems those who do not appreciate what they have as worthy of annihilation. He would eat your brains when he sees fit—especially when he sees that you are not using it to the fullest. And he wouldn’t hesitate even for a second to obliterate you toward oblivion when you turn out to be a wastrel.

A writer, musician, bibliophile, audiophile, and a lover of cinema—this dweeb loves to talk about a wide range of topics, and has recently developed a serious addiction to caffeine. Expect him to strike fast friendships with those of his kind.

It could be with you.
