Project Manager, Consultant, and Director in Cape Fair, Missouri

I’m an arts professional with more than 30 years of experience looking to bring my expertise and enthusiasm to the next phase of an organizations growth. I have worked with assisting donor relations, budgeting, developing and implementing masterplans, embracing cultural differences, and the maximizing operational plans for the brick-and-mortar running of day to day.

I have held many jobs over the years; steam-cleaning carpets, catering, Kmart, landscaper, film and video production, carpenter at DuPont, sign maker, ticket sales. Assistant Technical Director of a Historic Theater, Thalian Hall after earning my keep was promoted to Technical Director working with community theater companies and touring shows. During that time I also was a High School teacher with the distance learning class room and teaching photojournalism.

I work at Duke University, in the Theatre Operations Department, became an adjunct professor in the theatre, and had seven theatre spaces to oversee. I dealt with groups ranging from college theatre groups to off Broadway productions. I was offered a position of Assistant Manager over Special Events where I dealt with everything from setting up basketball and football games to the annual reunion and graduation. Then moved to the position of Director of Administration/Operations at Sarah P. Duke Gardens.

I have taught art at a local private school with pre-k-12th grade.

I became the General Manager of the Black Ensemble Theater.

I paused my arts management career to assist a family member as Assistant Plant Manager with Tri Star LLC. Now that I have fulfilled my commitment to the company, I am excited to return to arts management.

I am fully committed to the notion that we are lifelong learners. With continuous learning and being present we can overcome obstacles together. I have over my years been in positions that required building strong collaborations across multiple organizations.

I am married to my best friend Tricia we have two kids, Madison and Zachary.
