Paul Pyenta, PhD

Hello everyone. I am Dr. Paul Pyenta. I live in Abilene TX and am professor of biochemistry at McMurry University. I actually think science is fun and love sharing it with students. I love to see a student go on to great success. But family is number one to me. I am a husband -- married to Josie since 1998 -- and a father -- to five awesome kids. I love to tinker with things, whether in the lab or as a handyman around the house. I hold to a few simple ideas: Solving problems with creativity is what adds color to life and keeps it interesting. Never take oneself or life too seriously (but that's not an excuse to do anything but your best). Live as simply as possible. Give credit where credit is due, and never steal someone else's thunder. Quiet and humble is more God-like than loud and pompous. Never tire in seeing the awe in even the simplest facets of God's creation.
