Paul Ross

Sydney

Born in Parramatta, grew up in Toongabbie. Grantham High school, now know as Hills Sports High School. Graduated in 1983. Did work experience in plumbing at school and Paul’s Brother worked as a plumber for T Helsby and Son, hence the interest in plumbing.

Paul is married with 3 kids, 15, 10 and 4. Spends a lot of time with the family and has a keen interest in rugby league training his oldest sons Rugby league side for over 8 years.

Started apprentiship as a plumber with Macind Drainage and Hydraulic services, specializing in new industrial / commercial construction and maintenance. Stayed there for 6 years.

Started at GF James Plumbing (Plumbing Contractors in Sydney) in 1989 as general plumber, moved on to site foreman at major project in Alexandria working on industrial plumbing for a large block of factory unit for 4 years. In 1993 Paul became the office supervisor and worked on the full development of the pump house hotel in Sydney. Paul then supervised all plumbing work in the underground car park at Cook and Philip Park in Sydney CBD installing all new equipment throughout.

In 2000 Paul then headed up the plumbing work for the Sydney Olympics with holding the main contract for SOCOG (Special Organising Community for Olympic Games).

Paul then worked on the major redevelopment at the Prince of Wales hospital for the criminal ward and continues to work on government contracts for railcorp and the RTA.

Currently Paul is supervising all maintenance work on Railcorp infrastructure and airline installation for the South West Rail Link, Auburb Junction Project and the Glenfield to Campbelltown line.

Further to all these large projects Paul still overseas the day-to-day domestic work carried out at GF James Plumbing and works in a lot of Strata Maintenance plumbing work as well.

Today, GF James Plumbing is now one of the best plumbing services in Sydney.
