Paul Bartholomew

Bucks County, Pennsylvania

Paul is an internationally published, award-winning photographer specializing in hospitality, interior design, architecture and food photography. Born in the Eastern Pennsylvania countryside, with a keen talent for drawing and painting, he began his advanced fine art education at Lehigh University and moved on to achieve a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photographic Studies from Kutztown University.

Seeking excellence in image creation early in his career, he was drawn to Leica camera systems. The company sponsored his attendance at Leica Akademie in Solms, Germany and Nantilly, France. It was through this experience his eyes were opened to a whole other world of photographic styles and techniques. He has been interviewed about his architectural and food photography on The Leica Camera Blog and is loyal to using Leica medium format cameras for his professional and personal work.

He is one of a select few American photographers who are qualified members of the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP) and was honored with the Peter Grugeon Award for best portfolio upon achieving his Associateship level. He is also a member of the New York chapter of American Photographic Artists (APA).

Paul lives in beautiful rural Bucks County, PA with his wife & studio manager Andrea and their two black cats. Passionate about cooking and cocktail creations, in 2011 Paul and Andrea launched a food photography blog (The Framed Table) to showcase personal work. It soon gained unexpected popularity, not only for food and drink photography, but also for the recipes they created which have been featured on countless websites, blogs and social media.

Paul primarily works in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and anywhere his clients need him.
