Paul Gerst

Plymouth, MA and Norwell, MA

I am over half-way through with my life...there, I said it...and I'm ok with that. I have lived an adventurous, lesson-filled existence to this point and my memories, at least the pleasant ones are of my daughter, other family, friends and the many people I have helped along their path.

I am blessed to do what I do. I have practiced acupuncture for 18 years and have added other pieces of the "practice pie" along the way, like neurolink, neuro-emotional technique (NET) and Nutrition Response Testing (NRT).

There are two frustrations I feel about being an alternative health practitioner; one, our society is so focused on the business/image side of things, it is hard to just focus on caring for my patients...and two, so many people in our culture have been brain-washed and spoiled to think that they don't have to be responsible, that there is a pill that will cure them of their multitude of bad choices. There's always tomorrow so why not do whatever I feel like, today?

Too many people don't know how I can help them and letting them know isn't easy as they are constantly barraged by advertisers and people wanting something from them. There's also a bunch of people who are locked in skepticism...not healthy skepticism, but the kind that prevents them from having any kind of open mind what-so-ever. It is easier to go through life being right, never having to say your sorry or admit wrong-doing or just being a know-it-all. I am done trying to convert you...if you are stubborn and foolish, good luck with your pill.

If this sounds negative or cynical, my apologies. I have decided that as of today, I am going to help those who want to be helped. It is what I am meant to do and if I do say so myself, I am very good at it! If you are in need of assistance and would like to do what it takes to be healthy, happy or maybe just as good as you can possibly be, I would consider it a tremendous honor if you'd allow me to be your guide.

Thanks for reading. Sure, there's a whole lot more to me, but I'll share more in my blog posts and besides, there is nothing like getting to know someone face to face!
