Paula Díaz

Hello, I'm Paula.

I'm geographer. After graduating in 2006 I specialized in Territorial planning and environmental management; and in Remote Sensing and GIS (MSc in 2008 and 2009 respectively).

Currently, I'm conducting my PhD research on renewable energy and GIS at CityU of Hong Kong. Before that I was researcher at CREAF and the Department of Geography of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2008-2012). I dealt with ISO 19115, ISO 19139 and OGC standards on geographical Metadata ans Services. I also developed studies in INSPIRE Directive, Spatial Data Infrastructures and GEOSS in different European projects related to Earth Observation.

When I’m not working I like to go to the sea, the countryside, the mountain, the river, etc. I also love sports, now I'm starting to learn Taichi. Who knows me will confirm that I also love traveling, animals, listening to the radio and reading. :)
