Paula Poundstone, one of Comedy Central’s 100 Greatest Standups of All Time, is gracing the nations screens and stages, bringing her world-class, (relatively) impromptu brand of comedy to performing arts centers and theatres around the country. Paula Poundstone is also a published author and an avid reader. As the National Spokesperson for The American Library Association's United for Libraries, a national network of enthusiastic library supporters who work to support their local libraries, Paula utilizes her unique comedic skills to help entertain on panels and performing at events. In addition, Paula Poundstone helps raise funds for various candidates and ballot measures of her choice.
It’s been 25 years since Poundstone climbed aboard a Greyhound bus and toured the country’s open mic stand up stages, and she’s been making impacts many of us could only dream about ever since. As a regular panelist on NPR’s popular weekly news quiz show Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me, Paula Poundstone has shared her unscripted talent and humor with radio audiences worldwide for more than 10 years. In 2013, Ms. Poundstone joined Steve Martin in New York for the show’s live Cinecast to movie theaters throughout the United States and she has also appeared on a number of the show's most notable programs. She also recently did commentary for CBS Sunday Morning.
A member of the Comedy Hall of Fame, Paul Poundstone has also distinguished herself with several standup comedy specials on HBO, with her interviews, event coverage, and her comedy CD's.
