Paul Birch

After graduating from Imperial College in Material Sciences, I started professionally as a computer programmer and then as a data analyst at Zurich Insurance. With the start of the UK dot-com boom in 1999, I jumped headlong into entrepreneurship and my own failed dotcom. I then teamed up with my brother and his wife, launching two successful businesses - BirthdayAlarm and later Bebo.

More recently, I founded CISTA, a political party calling for a Royal Commission on drug policy currently fielding candidates in this year’s General Election.
