Paul Costello

As a Business Analyst I use analytical, technical and organizational skills and experience to facilitate the identification and implementation of business and systems solutions within several different vertical industries. Working directly with both internal business-level clients and external clients, as well as interfacing with software development teams, I employ excellent interpersonal and communications skills, conferring easily with clients to assess their project requirements, help them develop action plans, timelines, and even the standards of practice around these requirements. I routinely work with both business and technical teams to estimate development efforts and project scope, and to construct project plans based on the requirements which I have gathered. I am familiar with, and have worked within, all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for multiple companies.

As a Technical Writer, I create, edit, and update product and process information for delivery to internal and external clients. I primarily use Microsoft Office (through version 2010), FrontPage/Expression Web, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat. I work closely and communicate effectively with development, quality assurance, and management, occasionally interacting with other groups, such as training, marketing and support. The types of documents I have created include, but are not limited to: User Guides, functional requirements specifications, procedures, processes, traceability matrices, use cases, and the like.
