Paulette Donnellon

Paulette moved to Escondido in 1976 and attended Glen View Elementary School.

Paulette graduated from Orange Glen High School in 1985 and went on to join the Army directly out of High School. She served 8 years in the U.S. Army and was deployed during Desert Shield and Desert Storm. She served with the 129th Evacuation Hospital out of San Diego, California. She was awarded the U.S. Army Commendation medal for meritorious service while serving during Desert Storm as well as the Kuwaiti Liberation Medal and the Southwest Service Medal with 2 bronze stars.

Paulette has over 20 years of experience working with technology in Education. She has held positions with CompUSA, Toshiba, Okidata Americas and American Power Conversion. Currently she works at IST - (International Software Technology) as their Director of Sales and Marketing for the U.S. As a part of her day to day job, she calls on schools and districts nationwide recommending effective technology solutions to be used in their classrooms. Paulette's involvement with education has spanned from being a member of several different school advisory committees, to being a member of The Association of Teacher Educator's Standing Committee on Technology and the Future of Teacher Education. She has also partnered with Arizona State University to create projects to foster making learning fun for students. She has presented nationally on various subjects related to technology in education. She was invited to and attended an Invitational Summit on Redefining Teacher Education for Digital-Age Learners. At this time her primary focus has been Digital Textbooks and content as more schools join the digital frontier.

Paulette was invited to join the Escondido Education Foundation in 2009. She became Vice President in 2010 and President of the Foundation in 2012.

In November 2012, Paulette was elected to the Escondido Union School District Board of Education. As a trustee she will serve a 4 year term.
