Paul F Gill COLF, MLPI
Scotland
My paid work is with a great and leading company within the MPS sector. M2 UK are first class in all areas of our industry and are able to deliver on time, every time.
My role within M2 is two-fold - Learning & Development Manager supporting all staff within the organisation and my secondary role is as a Regional Service Manager heading up a team of Service Engineers covering an expanse of area from Carlisle to furthest North mainland Scotland.
Just recently my L&D role has become more of a forerunner out of the two roles as M2, like many companies are going through Lean processes to help us to become more efficient at what we do best. I manage an L&D Department of three staff and currently we are embarking on new territory within the Virtual Learning Environment, with many new and exciting projects on the horizon for 2013 and beyond.
When I am not working I take great delight in the volunteer work I offer to a prestigeous Scottish Public Service provider in St Andrew's First Aid.
I am proficiently trained by St Andrew's First Aid organisation in the undertaking of First Aid and Life Saving Skills, to offer support and care to the public at many events throughout Scotland. In the period of March 2011 to April 2012 this saw me return a very rewarding 650 hours of volunteer public service at events as well as in depth training in both hard and soft skills.
I have learned a great deal during the past 12 months since become COLF accreditated and looking at new ways of engaged learning within the workplace and thought I would create an about me page as well as a Twiitter page and a WordPress blog so I can share and collaborate with other similar people in this field.
Please feel free to pass any thoughts, suggestions or maybe just general chat chat and I will be only too glad to take on board your comments.
