For fun, I like to snowboard, scuba dive, jump out of planes, drink red wine and travel.

I enjoy traveling the world to give keynotes and take part on panel discussions about the future of messaging, AI, chatbots, cybersecurity and cryptocurrency. I specifically like to help people think deeper about ethics and integrity when building AI and chatbots.

Bio

I’m Founder and CEO of MetaCert, a security company that protects companies and communities of all sizes from malware and phishing when using messaging platforms. Our main focus is on protecting cryptocurrency communities from phishing attacks inside Slack.

I started my first mobile testing company in 2002 and bootstrapped the company to $2M in revenue in its first year. I grew Segala to become one of the most respected test houses in Europe before selling my share in the company.

I invested in and became an equal partner in an Indian restaurant in Dublin when I was 29. It’s called Jaipur and has a Michelin Star.

Previously, I was part of the team that launched AIM in 1997. As the first Technical Accounts Manager and International Beta Coordinator hired by AOL outside the US, he helped to launch other technologies such as Internet Radio, Online Games and X2 (56K modem protocol).

I am mostly known for helping to create numerous Internet and mobile Standards. I was one of the seven original founders of the W3C Mobile Web Initiative. I was the first person to re-write Tim Berners-
