Paul Gabrail
Value Investor in Richfield, Ohio
Paul Gabrail is a disciplined investor renowned for his value investing strategy. He is the founder and host of Everything Money, a popular digital show on YouTube that educates viewers on building long-term wealth through stocks, real estate, and business development. His approach to investing emphasizes the proper mindset, emotions, and processes necessary for successful value investing.
Born in Mosul, Iraq, in 1981, Paul's journey began when his family moved to England when he was just six weeks old. His parents, both medical professionals, pursued additional training in England. After three years, the family took a trip to the United States, which turned into a permanent stay when they received political asylum.
The Gabrail family eventually settled in Canton, Ohio, in 1990 after moving around the United States for six years. During his teenage years, Paul attended Walsh Jesuit High School in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. It was during the internet boom of the late 1990s that he began investing. His involvement in an investment club introduced him to the principles of billionaire investor Warren Buffett, which drastically changed his perspective on investing. Paul shifted from speculative trading to true investing, understanding that buying stock meant owning a part of a business—a realization that transformed his approach to investing.
After graduating with a degree in Economics from the University of Michigan in 2003, Paul embarked on his professional investing journey. In 2004, he founded The Crossroads Group, focusing on apartment investments in the Ohio area. His real estate ventures expanded to include purchasing, renovating, and renting out homes. His younger brother now serves as the CEO of The Crossroads Group, continuing the family's legacy in the business.
During the Great Financial Crisis of 2007-2008, while many investors retreated from the market, Paul saw an opportunity. He invested heavily in real estate and stocks, purchasing hundreds of apartments and millions of dollars in stocks, a decision that greatly paid off.
