A longtime teacher and administrator, Paul Gilvary holds a bachelor’s degree in management and a master’s in secondary education from St. John’s University in New York City. He has spent more than 30 years teaching in New York City high schools and has earned accolades such as being listed in Who’s Who Among America's Teachers. Paul Gilvary has also spent many years as a director of admissions for parochial high schools.

Paul Gilvary draws upon this experience in his current work as a mathematics teacher for St. Raymond’s High School in the Bronx, New York. He comes to this position after serving five years as a substitute teacher for elementary and junior high classes at St. Andrew Avellino Catholic Academy in nearby Flushing. In each of his teaching positions, he has earned a reputation as a committed educator who is respected by his colleagues and committed to furthering his school’s mission.

In addition to his experience in the schools, Paul Gilvary has worked as an official and administrator for several athletic leagues in New York City. Among other duties, he has served as an assigner of umpires for both the Catholic High School Athletic Association and the Public Schools Athletic League.
