I chose to talk about the Woo strength, which is all about wanting everyone to like you. To me, having Woo as a strength means that I love meeting new people, and always want to make new friends. I identify with this strength the most because I am always the guy that is introducing myself to strangers and striking up conversations with people. By trying to make my professors and TA's like me, the Woo strength can benefit me academically. To me, the more friends, the better, so my personal life can be positively impacted by this strength. This also affects my social life, because as my list of friends expands, as does my social sphere.
One of my favorite assignments this semester was the Ohio State Traditions. I wrote about the Illibuck, the annual trophy played for by Ohio State and Illinois in football. I learned that this tradition is about 90 years old, and that Ohio State used to end their schedule against Illinois, rather than That Team Up North. The information I gathered will help me in my future because I would like to join the Illibuck committee that brings the turtle to each game and cares for it.
Another fun assignment was the Lessons from a First Year Buckeye. Within this assignment, I was required to figure out five lessons that I would want to make sure future Buckeyes know and take advantage of. I realized while doing this what is really important for a new student here to do to be successful. By doing this assignment, I have learned all about the wonders of Ohio State and what I, along with my peers, can do to make our years at Ohio State as extraordinary as possible.
