PAULINA MIRANDA BIOGRAPHY

Paulina is a member of the Democratic Party in Fresno County: She is a Ex_Officio member. She was Elected Officer,Tresurer, and member for the Supervisorial District Five and First. Trustee of the Democratic Party Office in Fresno County. Also she was appointed as a Strategic Chairwoman, and State Board Representative in the California Democratic Party. She was Co-chair of the Kerry for President Campaign, Fresno County as well as the Media’s Spanish-speaker for the Hillary Clinton’s Campaign. Since 2002 and with a hard work a gap of 24,000 of registered republicans was surpassed. As a Trustee and Controller of the California Democratic Council, (CDC), she helped build more democratic clubs in the Fresno County, as a founder member and Treasurer: Fresno Stone Walls Democrats, San Joaquin Democratic Club.

She was a Fresno organizer, for the UFW March for Immigration Reform in March 24, 2013, at St. Anthony Claret Church, (5000 people participated). She is also founder member of the Coalition Primero de Mayo, for the rights of the immigrants, in Fresno.

In San Diego, she was elected PTSA President, In Castle Park High School; her focus was in “the parent’s integration in the High school system.” She also helped in the development programs for the non-English speakers. In Conjunction with UCSD, Paulina initiated in the implementation of programs in English and Spanish, to motivate High School students to continue their education
and pursue a University degree.

In Chula Vista, CA, Paulina was nominated Woman of the Year by Council member, Mary Salas. Sam Pack Chairman of the Fresno County Democratic Central Committee (FCDCC) awarded her, a Shine Star, for her “unbounded energy in precinct walking, Get Out The Vote activities, administration skills, and devotion of duty”. She also was treasurer, in Buchanan Complex, Middle School, in Clovis CA. She received 22 recognitions from the Assembly, and Senate of California, the US Congress, the Cities of San Francisco and Oakland, for her dedication and civic service to the people of the Fresno County.

Paulina lives with her husband in Fresno California. She is originally from Mexico, with roots in Los Angeles and San Diego California. She has 3 daughters and 4 grandchildren. Her father was a Sargent in the US Army and a Union member. Her mother is a nurse.
