Imagine. Make. Play. I design and make things; big things like architecture; small things like paper goods and origami; practical things like decor and furniture; playful things like toys and soft sculpture.

Throughout my childhood, I explored craft, art, music and science using the rich library of books and resources my mother (an educator) collected, sorted, and organized at home. I learned to read instructions, create, invent, make do, reuse, recycle. I also studied music throughout my childhood, which gave me an understanding of and appreciation for different styles and genres of music and fueled a love for trying new things.

In college, I studied architecture and worked for over 15 years as an architect in Texas and California. After having children, I returned to my roots in craft and art, started a creative blog, and pursued making in various mediums. Concurrently, I started my architecture firm PLA.studio where I practice slow architecture one project at a time.
