Besides my human portraits I am proud to be the creator of the Good Old Dog project. With it I aim to spread some happiness and celebrate all senior dogs that have enriched our life. The portraits are a testament to survival, to finding meaning and happiness in life while facing physical limitations and challenges. My photographic goal is to capture the dog's best as well as less serious side following a strong north European aesthetic: subtle and understated. I intentionally shy away from sentimentality. Instead I see beauty, strength and joy in my subjects. The portraits are combined with a haiku and together they offer timeless lessons on again gracefully, living fully and loving unconditionally.
