PAUL GUEST
I have been described as many things notably ”a terrible disaster with wild hair and big glasses” – it is true I am a disaster. I prefer neurotic people; I like to hear rumblings beneath the surface. My fashion icon is Jonathan Miller and I have a diet of Jaffa Cakes; I read a lot because words perplex me and I get inaudibly excited when I imagine a good metaphor; opera houses, concert halls and Bookshops are my favourite places. I am a professional, though young and inexcusably flawed, I am not an amateur.
You’ll find my words on classical music and opera in MUSO Magazine and Ceasefire Magazine. I am reviews columnist for MUSO Magazine, Classical music critic for Ceasefire Magazine and resident interviewer for Opera Britannia and note writer for Nick Van Bloss and various other artists. I’ve made contributions to Le Monde, The Guardian website, WIRED Magazine, Dazed and Confused, The Arbuturian, Classical Music Magazine, London Jazz, Opera Britannia and Bachtrack.
