Paul Liggitt

Paul trusted Christ in college, and has been fortunate to be discipled well since then. He has been a self- employed commercial photographer, and video producer until recently taking a job as a web and communications professional in Durham. He has played and loves coaching soccer and regularly participates in international missions, usually in South America (which is why becoming fluent in Spanish is big on his to-do list).

Paul has served at Westwood the past twenty-one years as the primary drummer on the worship team, Sunday School teacher of adult and youth, as deacon, life group leader, and elder. Paul met Susan a year after they became Christians; they have been married 39 years. They enjoy their three grown sons and their families: Jordan and Ashley and their four children; Andrew and Katherine and their three boys, plus one due soon; and Nathan. Susan home-schooled their sons, and has taught children at church and through Youth for Christ. She has played and taught piano, facilitated women's studies, and was instrumental in starting Westwood's women's prison ministry.

Paul and Susan love to see men, women, and youth yield control of their lives to Christ and grow in maturity through relational discipleship.
