DVM Utrecht University 1992. Diplomate European College of Veterinary Neurology 1996. PhD on copper toxicosis in 2005.

My research focus is epilepsy, movement disorders, storage diseases, polymyositis and its possible genetics. Furthermore I have several PhD students.

Currenlty I am an associate professor at the expertise centre of genetics, faculty of veterinary medicine, Utrecht University.

I perform my clinical activities at the referral clinic IVC Evidensia Arnhem, The Netherlands
