Paul McInnis

Family law practitioner Paul McInnis provides services in mediation, litigation, and negotiation, particularly in matrimonial disputes. Accepted to the Bar of Ontario in 1979, Mr. McInnis has been practicing law ever since. While practicing as a Partner wtih McInnis & Nicoll, Paul McInnis has been recognized by the Best Lawyers in Canada (Copyright 2011 by Woodward/White, Inc., Aiken, SC) five years running as one of the best family lawyers in the country. From 1988 to 2001, Paul McInnis served as an Instructor in the Family Law Section of the Bar Admission Course in Ontario. He is a member of The Canadian Bar Association and The Advocates’ Society, in addition to membership with the American Bar Association. In 1994, Mr. McInnis completed a Family Law Mediation Certification Program at CDR Associates in Boulder, Colorado. Since 1996, he has served as a Dispute Resolution Officer for the Superior Court of Justice Family Law Division. Known for his continuing education efforts, Paul McInnis has held a close relationship with multiple organizations offering CLE (continuing legal education). He has presented on a number of topics, including Conduct of a Family Law Trial, Family Law Rules, 6 Minute Family Law Lawyer Program, and Advanced Drafting for Lawyers. In addition to his work in continuing legal education, Paul McInnis was the Chair of Family Law in Difficult Economic Times in 1992. From 2007 to 2011, Mr. McInnis was the Co-Chair of the Annual Family Law Summit. He has also been a contributor of articles for Family Law Quarterly, The Advocates’ Journal, and Money and Family Law. McInnis & Nicoll is based out of Toronto, Ontario.
