Paul Reynolds

During my two years in graduate school, I have discovered my interest in the physical construction of objects. This has translated into my projects through detailing and modeling. All of this knowledge is culminating in my thesis project, where I am investigating straw bale as a building material on multiple levels. My thesis project began in order for me to build at full scale and get my hands dirty. Thus far, I have only begun to scrape the surface of the potential it has as a construction material. Since freeing myself from the computer, where the precision and tolerances are exact, I have been able to learn much about assembling straw bale with other materials.
